“Music is the strongest form of magic.”
“I've found that no matter what life throws at me, music softens the blow.”
“For me there is something primitively soothing about this music, and it went straight to my nervous system, making me feel ten feet tall.”
“There is no feeling, except the extremes of fear and grief, that does not find relief in music.”
“Music touches us emotionally, where words alone can't.”
“Through music we may wander where we will in time, and find friends in every century.”
“Too bad people can't always be playing music, maybe then there wouldn't be any more wars.”
“Music is the universal language of mankind.”
“Music has power to create a universe or to destroy a civilization.”
“Music is the great uniter. An incredible force. Something that people who differ on everything and anything else can have in common.”
“Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.”
“Music is an outburst of the soul.”
“When words fail music speaks. ”
“Music... will help dissolve your perplexities and purify your character and sensibilities, and in time of care and sorrow, will keep a fountain of joy alive in you.”
“When I hear music, I fear no danger. I am invulnerable. I see no foe. I am related to the earliest times, and to the latest.”
“Music can change the world because it can change people.”
Music...
I'm sure you get the point- it's a very very powerful thing. Think about it, seriously- honestly. Think about that one song that always makes you cry, or that one song that always makes you rock out. Remember that one song that pissed you off, and that one song that made you feel justified and free? I know when I get angry as gay as it sounds- I jam to Pink; Just Like a Pill, where I get to yell and scream and just... let it all go and have fun doing it.
Songs, music can do many different things to us, help us, release us, make us feel good...
So why don't we band together (heh, pun.)and use this thread as a way to help everyone feel better, possibly put a smile on someone else's face, or help release them under the pressure their under?
I mean, I know a lot of people have been stressed lately over one thing or another in their life on here- I'm sure that's one of the biggest reasons why everyone has been missing too, just trying to deal with and cope with that the hell has been going on, so why not try to make them feel just a bit relaxed and realize that here is suppose to be their sanctuary- their place of relaxation and escape.
Not to mention on top of that- it's another good way for all of us here on the forum to really get to talk things out, start an easy conversation, make new friends over a common factor- get to know each other, and actually become even closer to those who just joined, or those who were there before us. Really come together, right now, over me. Hah, another one. I'm on a ball. as what should feel like a family.
And how you are asking we possibly do this?
Simple: Name you favorite song, put down the lyrcis, the video- anything, everything! Maybe it's something no one has heard of before, or maybe it's something everyone loves. Let's all take turns posting- one song of the day, per day. Not a requirement of course! But- when you're on and thinking about it or something like that, yanno? Just, something, a song you just listened to, anything.
In fact- I'll be more than happy to post the song that really made me think and start this topic.
Yes, even the cruel, cold, and bloody, Doctor can sometimes have a heart- on a good day. Don't get used to it, I just so happen to take one this evening.

"Under Pressure" - Queen and David Bowie
Pressure, Pushing down on me, Pressing down on you, No man asked for
Under pressure, That burns a building down, Splits a family in two, Puts people on streets
It's the terror of knowing What this world is about, Watching some good friends Screaming, "Let me out!", Tomorrow gets me higher Pressure on people - people on streets
Chippin' around, Kick my brains 'round the floor, These are the days - it never rains but it pours, People on streets People on streets
It's the terror of knowing What this world is about, Watching some good friends Screaming, "Let me out!", Tomorrow gets me higher, higher, higher... Pressure on people - people on streets
Turned away, From it all, Like a blind man, Who sat on a fence, But it don't work Keep coming up with love, But it's so slashed and torn, Why, why, why?
Love - love - love - love - love
Insanity, laughs, under pressure, we're cracking- Can't we give ourselves one more chance? Why can't we give love that one more chance? Why can't we give love, Give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love?..
'Cause love's such an old-fashioned Word, And love dares you to care for The people on the Edge of the night, And love dares you To change our way of, Caring about ourselves This is our last dance This is our last dance This is ourselves Under pressure Under pressure Pressure

If I may contribute, this one always cheers me up. As a proud Irish girl, I LOVE my rowdy punk songs.

*bows* Well played! Because- I'm a proud Irish person too! *smirk* So! Good song too by the way. But, proud of heritage or not, anyone is allowed to post one song per day. Including me! Which, this song of the day is; JOURNEY! Why?... I cry over the Journey tickets I don't have enough money to get for my only Christmas present to myself.... ;-; and... this song is REALLY special to me.
"Worlds Apart" - Journey
Here we stand Worlds apart Hearts broken in two, two, two Sleepless nights Losing ground I'm reaching for you, you, you
Feelin' that it's gone Can't change your mind If we can't go on To survive the tide Love divides
Someday love will find you Break those chains that bind you One night will remind you How we touched And went our separate ways If he ever hurts you True love won't desert you You know I still love you Though we touched And went our separate ways
Troubled times Caught between confusions and pain, pain, pain Distant eyes Promises we made were in vain In vain, vain
If you must go I wish you love You'll never walk alone Take care my love Miss you love
Someday love will find you Break those chains that bind you One night will remind you How we touched And went our separate ways If he ever hurts you True love won't desert you You know I still love you Though we touched And went our separate ways
[Instrumental Interlude]
Oooooooooh Someday love will find you Break those chains that bind you One night will remind you If he ever hurts you True love won't desert you You know I still love you
I still love you, girl I really love you, girl And if he ever hurts you True love won't desert you Nooooooooo Nooooooooo

"Forever Young" - Alphaville
Let's dance in style, let's dance for a while Heaven can wait, we're only watching the skies Hoping for the best but expecting the worst Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?
Let us die young or let us live forever We don't have the power but we never say never Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip The music's for the sad men
Can you imagine when this race is won Turn our golden faces into the sun Praising our leaders, we're getting in tune The music's played by the, the mad men
Forever young, I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever, forever and ever? Forever young, I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever? Forever young
Some are like water, some are like the heat Some are a melody and some are the beat Sooner or later, they all will be gone Why don't they stay young?
It's so hard to get old without a cause I don't want to perish like a fading horse Youth's like diamonds in the sun And diamonds are forever
So many adventures couldn't happen today So many songs we forgot to play So many dreams swinging out of the blue We let them come true
Forever young, I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever, forever and ever? Forever young, I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever, forever and ever?
Forever young, I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever?
