| Pokémon Tower. It's the resting place of place of Pokémon no longer with us. Or, that was what the humans intended it to be. But they never intended for the graves to be ransacked and pilfered, skulls stolen for the passing pleasure.
Let me explain. I am the Vulpix who guards the Pokémon Tower. My Trainer calls me Rina. Why do I guard the Tower? Because of the grave robbers. They've been disturbing the deceased and making it impossible to enter. My duty is to prevent others from entering in an effort to keep from enraging the spirits even more. However, the grave robbers must have found another way in, as the spirits still seem to be growing more agitated.
Think you can help? Well, then just go see the Ekans over by Mr. Fuji's house and she can help get you integrated into the service.
But...if you intend to work for those no-good grave robbers, then get out of here! You might find a Banette somewhere around here. She helps the grave robbers. Don't know why. No-account troublemaker, she is. She went by the name of Dahlia before she left her Trainer.
Now. I can't talk anymore. I have to get back to my job. Scoot!
She waves you away with her paw.
So, what will you choose? Will you help Lavender Town? Or will you seek out Dahlia?

| You make your way over to the house that Rina pointed out and notice an Ekans coiled around herself and snoozing in the noonday sun. When you get her attention, she lifts the front of her body up a little and looks you over.I take it Rina sent you? You nod and she makes a sort of hissing sound.That Vulpix. Always dumping recruits off onto me. Like I don't have enough to do as it is. Right. I'm Ophelia. And for Arceus' sake, don't laugh. My Trainer chose the name. I'm the Head of the Intelligence Branch of the Lavender Town Protection Squad. I work with Mr. Fuji to communicate Lavender Town's problems between the humans and Pokémon. Wipe that smirk off your face! I'm not the only Pokémon in the Squad who can talk to Mr. Fuji. Sampson the Lucario can even write in human, so Rina could have sent you to him just as easily. Yes. Anyway. You can start out by talking to Sampson. He'll write down your records to let the humans know you're helping us. Right. Scram. She curls back up and appears to drift off as a Lucario walks up to you.New recruit? You nod.Don't mind Lia. She can be a grouch, but really, she's the brains behind all of this. | Instead of going towards the Ekans, you decide to see if you can't find Dahlia and perhaps find out more about these supposed "graverobbers". Something doesn't sit right with you, as if you weren't given all the information.

She shudders, as if remembering a foul memory.You doubt us? You shake your head, but she grins.I don't blame you. Do you know why the joeys cause a problem? It's not all of them. Just those who were born wild. Their mothers weren't prepared for burial properly and...well, I'm sure you can guess what happens. Their reality disintegrates. They become so overcome with the loss of their mothers that they crave the rest of them, no longer content with the skull. We Ghost Pokémon are born of these feelings of anguish, abandonment. The Ghosts are trapped in the Tower. Yes, they are concerned with the graves, but the more anguish that fills Lavender Town, the more Ghosts will appear. And little Rina will have no defense against them. Her stubborness will be her downfall. There seems to be a glint in her eyes, an unnerving one. I wanna help the Protection Squad!Username: Pickles Character Name: Argos Age: 20 Pokémon Species: Arcanine Gender: Male Appearance:  Personality: Argros may be a bit young, however he is an old soul. Leader and adventurer by heart, the Arcanine was involved from a Growlithe at quite a young age, not exactly getting to live out his puppy years. Thus, he is now living them to the fullest extent- as an Arcanine. He's very intellectual, cunning, and mature, however he does have those puppy instinct moments that randomly appear and force him to be kind of cute for something that's suppose to be strong willed and vicious. Like... chasing of a Butterfree through the grass. Otherwise he is loyal to the very end and will happily die for his trainer or friends, and becomes vicious anytime either is threatened. A complete contradiction to himself sometimes, though most the time he tries to remain an adult, and many people and pokemon a like are usually fooled by that... His sense of justice and moral is VERY high. Other: His new trainer; Vincent, found him abandoned and almost half dead years ago by another who called him absolutely worthless and left the loyal Growlithe to rot, sitting in the snow, and waiting on his old trainer to return. Though when Vincent had found him, he nurtured the Growlithe all the way back to the way he was suppose to be and trained with him. Because he had been so loyal to his last trainer, Vincent had dubbed him "Argos" based on Homer's Odyssey, Odysseus' faithful dog. They played, trained, and worked together, for quite a few years before his trainer had brought home a special item that he kept wrapped in a cloth- the fabled Firestone. He promised Argos great strength and power to be able to protect him when he became an Arcanine- and Argos happily agreed. Every day, he would meet Vincent at the door when he got home, and every night he'd give him one simple protective lick good night, Vincent curled up against his belly. However, one day his trainer went to work leaving Argos in his same exact spot, waiting for his return- and Vincent never showed up again. Unknowingly for poor Argos, his trainer was deceased and had died away from home. Still, the loyal Arcanine won't believe anyone, still believes that Vince is alive, and stubbornly every night when it's time for his trainer to return, he'll go and wait at that house in Lavender Town.... I wanna help the Protection Squad!Username: Pickles Character Name: Chaos Age: 16 Pokémon Species: Umbreon Gender: Male Appearance:  Personality: Chaos keeps to himself mostly, or tries too. However, he was such a social little Eevee that now it's in his nature to be around other pokemon. Though being around them, and talking to them are two different things. Cool and relaxed, he is quick to help those in need to the best of his ability. Though when you mange to become his friend, you are his best and he will open up to you without hesitation, you just have to earn his trust and respect which is a little hard. He's truly a sweet and kind Pokemon to be around once he warms up to you. Other: Chaos' scarf comes from a little girl who owned him ever since he was a little Eevee. When he was younger the girl would wrap it around him to keep him warm in the middle of the harsh cruel winters of Snowpoint City. Where he met a Growlithe pup waiting on his trainer. Every day and night him and his girl would make it a habit to visit the Growlithe, put food in front of him, wrap scarves around his neck, yet the pup just sat there, motionless as if frozen in time. As time passed the girl ended up loving him enough that when he woke up the next morning, he was an Umbreon. Chaos didn't mind it too much, and neither did his girl- until the girl had to move to some strange place called "Lavender Town" and could have only taken him if he was an Eevee. Still to this day he searches for that girl, but once he realized she was long gone he became a loner, still taking care to remember the lessons the girl had taught him as a young Eevee, but filling a bit cold and bitter about being left behind... I wanna help the Protection Squad!Username: Pickles Character Name: Age: 17 Pokémon Species: Mightyana Gender: Female Appearance:  Personality: Shilo is sort of hard to describe in her personality. She can be very kind, neutering, and protective, and yet she doesn't hesitate to bare her fangs at you when you piss her off. She's easy to get along with when she wants to be, and doesn't trust a single soul even though deep inside she craves to, though her mind refuses to let her. She can be a bit hesitant at times instead of jumping right into the situation. She likes to think about things, however when she comes to the conclusion that it's right- she's all in through hell or high water, nothing can stop her. She can be very determined and doesn't exactly take orders quite that well- she has a bit of authority issues. Other: Shilo was an abandoned Poochyeana who's mother had been killed while out to get her some food. Lost and all alone, she for sure thought she was going to die- until a Houndoom noticed her. At first she was petrified, cringing away from the intruding snout as she buried herself in the grass and nipped at the tip of his nose only earning a small chuckle from the Houndoom. Ever since then they had been close, he raised her up as his own, protecting her from all the elements and almost sheltering her from absolutely everything terrible. Slowly Shilo grew up from Poochyeana into Mightyeana... but that was when things seemed to change. She began disobeying the Houndoom's orders, and baring her teeth at him, becoming almost ungreatful for everything he had done for her at the urging of a young Espeon... and before he knew it, she was gone, captured by a trainer and torn apart from him because she wouldn't listen. Ever since then she had grown to love/hate that Houndoom, blaming it on him for getting captured. Ability: Quick Feet Hidden Ability: Moxie Moveset: Play Rough (fairy), Sucker Punch (dark), Dig (ground), Hyper Beam (normal)

I'd like to join Subsentio Mortua!Username: Pickles Character Name: Nathan Age: 32 Pokémon Species: Houndoom Gender: Male Appearance:  Personality: Nathan can be the most helpful or harmful thing in your long or short lived life in the flick of a tail. It's like the Houndoom has two separate personalities, one brought on by the smell of blood or the yearning of chaos and the other cool, collected, and helpful. He can be the one to save you and then slaughter you in a simple breath, not exactly trustworthy and... on top of that, he takes care of himself. Sure, if he sees another in need he'll help out- unless he's in his other side, then he will simply torture and probably kill. He tries to keep that sadistic side under lock and chain however, sometimes when he doesn't succeed all hell breaks loose. He can be overprotective and honestly gentle toward the ones he trusts or calls 'friends' who have nothing to worry about when it comes to that other side, versus aggressive, sadistic, and cruel when it comes to those he calls enemies. It's almost impossible to gain his trust but once you do, it's all worth it. Other: Nathan raised a little Poochyeana from scratch the day he noticed her mother had been killed. He didn't want her to feel the sorrow of being alone and lost in the world, so he took her under his wing and took care of her from the time she evolved into a strong and swift Mightyeana. However, things began to hit a rough patch and with a little devil in her ear, slowly the Mightyeana began to side with her and fight against him. The day the trainer snatched her from him... he completely lost it. Until he too was captured and forced to obey a trainer that used him strictly for fighting purposes, and abused his unnatural strength to the brink of death. He honed in on that hatred, that power, and began to grow and learn from it, eventually escaping his trainer after he had won a vicious battle with a high level Charizard, managing to just barely escape with his life... but eventually was restored back to health with the help of a little pack of joeys who seemed just as lost as Shilo once had been when she was a pup.... Ability: Flash Fire Hidden Ability: Unnerve Moveset: Inferno (fire), Foul Play (dark), Sludge Bomb (poison), Counter (fighting)

I'd like to join Subsentio Mortua!Username: Pickles Character Name: Silver Age: 27 Pokémon Species: Absol Gender: Male Appearance:  Personality: Silver keeps him, his opinions, and his words to himself. He has an alarmingly strong sense of loyalty to those he can trust, and usually keeps his whole power and potential hidden until the very end where he can surprise everyone. He usually is three or four steps ahead of the game, he generally can guess what is going to happen next or be thrown at him and usually can dodge it. He's very swift and powerful and always seems to show up in anyone's time of need, right at the last second. However... the most ironic part is that usually when he shows up, just as in his nature, he also brings forth some hellish chaos without even trying... Which is usually why he tries to keep away from the others. He can be a bit of a fatherly figure toward that of the little ones, without even really trying. Keeping a very protective eye on them. No, she likes to battle, and absolutely adores challenges, anything to stimulate her physically and mentally. She loves using her head to help her solve problems, and is a really bright Espeon. Rivaille pays no mind, however, as he is completely content in living off the food which the friendly townsfolk leave out for him by their homes.

Personality: Bit of a chaotic neutral, really. Glasgow has always been one for mischief, regardless of who becomes the victim. He's not a bad guy, though. Just don't be surprised if he helps the "wrong" side sometimes. It's nothing personal. They just look like more fun. Other: He's lately been thinking about getting a mustache. But she can often be self-righteous and get herself and her friends in trouble.
Other: Though Poly works for the Protection Squad because her Trainer does, she's actually quite torn in her beliefs as she doesn't feel it's right to punish orphans in this way. But she doesn't agree that Subsentio Mortua should be allowing them to desecrate the graves.

Personality: Though Rin tries to be mature, he can often be naive as well, usually believing things that grown ups have resigned as impossible. But this is perhaps his greatest strength, as he hasn't lost the faith to keep doing what he feels is right no matter the opposition.
Other: Rin helps the orphans because he knows the pain of losing someone dear, being an orphan himself until Aglaia's family adopted him. Though she often babies him, she knows he can handle himself.
